The Peak District is a favourite of mine, so when Kerry and Rob first got in touch about being their Losehill house hotel wedding photographer I was excited to meet them both. What a stunning wedding this is.
The star of the day wasn’t either of the two newly weds, it was the third member of their relationship- Troy. That beautiful border terrier. As I’m sure you will see he features throughout, hooray for dogs at weddings. I guess you could say these two weren’t exactly traditional, their whole wedding day was at Losehill house, they spoke their own vows and climbed a mountain in the pouring rain. I think this climbing a mountain part was my favourite. We took a chance on dashing out for some pictures of these two at sunset in the fading light atop Mam Tor. Just as we got to the top we took a few photographs then the heavens opened. The mixture of weather was almost magical. The warmth of the deep orange sun peering between the storm clouds, the masses of rain clouds moving in and the fog sweeping through the valley. As we rushed back to the car the rain got heavier, Kerry and Rob took it all in their stride. These were some of the most special pictures. I would love to be a peak district wedding photographer all the time for moments like these. Hopefully I will get the chance to be a Losehill house hotel wedding photographer again soon!
They all finished off the day dancing under sparkler light as they listened to their favourite music. These two had the best atmosphere all day and it was still going on long after we left.
