Matt and Hannah’s Crathorne Hall Wedding
Last year was my first time working as a Crathorne Hall wedding photographer- I was suitably impressed, what a grand venue it is!
Matt and Hannah’s ceremony was at Crathorne All Saints Church, a small but very beautiful building. Both the vicar and the warden were very welcoming to all. I was able to capture her ringing the church bells to call the guests, quite the character. As the flower girls arrived I think it seemed to really dawn on Matt that this was really happening. There were a few tears from both Matt and Hannah as they saw each other for the first time down the aisle. After a short, traditional ceremony it was then only a stones throw to get back to the Hall.
On arrival I was able to use the facade of the Crathorne for the group shots then onto some portraits of the married couple themselves. It was only a brief walk but there are so many really very beautiful locations for photos, taking pictures with Matt and Hannah was a great pleasure, they were such naturals. Shortly after we were all seated for the speeches which were a rollercoaster ride of emotions from huge laughter to heart-felt tears and that double act who were the best men.
We sneaked off to get some pictures in the fading light, I really enjoy working at this time of day as everything looks so much more soft and romantic. From here we headed back in to see all the new faces for the evening reception and onto the first dance. Joseph made a few appearances throughout the day and it was lovely to see him embraced by mum and dad towards the end of their first dance together. Then the partying began, and a proper party it was. Drunken relatives taking lead vocals in the band and the groomsmen pulling weird faces at the bar- the sort of weird faces that can only be brought on by strong shots… The list goes on, what a night!
I hope you enjoy looking through Matt and Hannah’s photos as much as I enjoyed creating them.
