David and Alexa – Tithe Barn Bolton Abbey wedding

It wasn’t that long before the actual date that David got in touch about his Tithe Barn Bolton Abbey wedding. With Yorkshire roots but based in Dubai and Alexa’s Family hailing from California it was sure to be a party. Nothing wiped the smile of their faces all day long. I guess I’ve got to try and sum up this wedding in a few words. No easy task.

Morning prep was at the Devonshire Arms. Best known to me for the tasty grub. If you’re passing, its definitely worth stopping off. It wasn’t long before we were headed to the outstanding Priory Church, Bolton Abbey. This far exceeded my already huge expectations. The place is spectacular. I could go on with countless adjectives about their whole day actually. I won’t though, that’d get a bit much.

That striking beam of light as they knelt at the front of church. I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed such a powerful scene.

It was my first time at The Tithe Barn Bolton Abbey too. Cripps barns are always cracking and this was no exception. The place soon bustled with laughter fuelled by the expertly prepared food and drinks. These two beauties made a lovely entrance into the barn. That pic is a fave of mine.

We did fit in some time for a few nice couples portraits at sunset. It was too perfect a scene not to. This very mix of people was one of the best celebrations I’ve documented all year. Who doesn’t love a big group shot on the dance floor just before I was about to leave. Probably my favourite group shot ever. What a belter of a party these guys had. Don’t take my word for it when there’s picture evidence!!
